PRODCOM

PRODCOM is a list of products of the mining and quarrying and manufacturing sectors of the European Union.  Product types within this list are grouped according to the kinds of economic activity (NACE Rev.1.1) and the products in principle cover the articles and groups of articles in the Combined Nomenclature (CN).

Sale of manufactured industrial products

Gross physical output and value of products manufactured and sold in the accounting period, at current prices excluding value added and excise taxes.

Source of data

Quarterly report “3-r “Report on the production and realization of the kinds of industrial production””.

Coverage

Data are compiled from the economically active enterprises where the number of employees constitutes 20 and more people, or where the turnover of the previous year was above 300 thsd lats.

Sample size

The number of quarterly surveyed enterprises in 2005 comprised 1110, in 2006- 1131, in 2007- 1207.

Description of data

Starting with the 15th date of every quarter, information on the production and realization of kinds of production is compiled within thirteen days. The kinds of production are shown accordingly to the codes of PRODCOM list and in measurements determined there. The report includes only the production produced in the national territory in the certain report unit.

Methods of calculation

Published data are obtained summarizing several similar kinds of production, retaining time series.

Data revision

Every quarter revisions may be made to previous data as enterprises provide provisional information.

Specific notes

 

Data on the kinds of production which are produced by less than 4 enterprises, or if some of the enterprises prevails others, in accordance with the State Statistics Law, are not published.

Are not published.

Quarterly data

The data are published on the 50th day after the end of the accounting period.

Monthly data

Annual data in database are published in November.
